Another weekend, another set of adventures — from the Arctic Circle to the Cooleys to the Belfast docks. The Glens Runners were everywhere.
🌙 Midnight Sun Half Marathon — Tromsø
While the rest of us roasted, Karl and Tom wisely headed north to chase miles under the midnight sun.
Karl continued his brilliant run of form with a superb PB of 1:27:27.
A stunning setting, cool conditions, and two very happy lads.
🌙 Florencecourt — Last One Standing
Also avoiding the heat (sort of…) was Padraic Quinn, who spent the night circling Fermanagh at the ATLAS Running Florencecourt Last One Standing.
The King of Tievebulliagh delivered a mighty shift — 62.5 miles and over 15 hours of running before tapping out.
An incredible effort 👏🏻
🏆 Belfast Women’s 10k — Belfast Harbour Estate
Niamh does what Niamh does — excellence on repeat. A brilliant 39:43 and V45 honours in warm and windy conditions around the harbour.
That household trophy cabinet must be under structural strain at this point.
🏔️ NIMRA Flagstaff to Carlingford
The mountain goats went south for one of the most scenic days you’ll ever get in the Cooleys.
Naomi 🥈🥳, Joanna, John, Dom, Tim and Mark took on the Armagh Athletic Club Flagstaff to Carlingford route in warm, clear conditions — even a rare postcard‑worthy view from the top of Slieve Foy.
Someone still managed to go off‑course… but we’ll keep that between us 🤐
What an amazing group of runners we have 🫶🏻
