Glens Runners Charity Run/Walk 2026

On a sunny spring morning, Glens Runners hosted their annual charity run/walk in support of Young Lives vs Cancer, attracting strong community participation. Runners and walkers came from local areas and neighbouring clubs, including participants from Ballycastle and Ballymena, along with members of Glenariff Oisín’s CLG who took part in memory of Eunan Harvey.
Participants could choose different distances, with the longest route climbing past the Vanishing Lake before offering scenic views over Cushendun and descending through Glendun toward Cushendall.
The event had a strong community atmosphere, with volunteers, local businesses, and marshals supporting runners and providing refreshments. In total, over £8,000 was raised to help Young Lives vs Cancer continue supporting children and families affected by cancer
