Ballymena was buzzing on Thursday night (hai) as nearly 500 runners took to the streets for the Fairhill 5 Mile!

A mighty Glens crew made their way over the mountain to perfect running conditions and huge support all along the route which started at the Fairhill and made its way through Ecos before heading back to the finish at Meeting House lane. An outstanding performance by everyone with all 14 Glens runners finishing strong and unscathed, despite a few speed bumps. A category win for KellyAnn and pbs for Ally, Marie and Oonagh were a good excuse for Tricia to initiate a wee celebration on the way home. Delighted also to see new members Tessa, Terry, Mark and Briege on their race debut for the club.

Thanks to Ballymena Runners, and the amazing volunteers who made it all happen. And of course, the legendary Big Feed at the church hall didn’t disappoint!  Finally, a special shout out to Tim for taking charge of some of the Glens ladies (like herding cats at one point).
