With complaints about how it was too hot to run a distant memory, a fine 20 strong squad of Glens Runners descended into Ballycastle harbour for the Ballycastle Runners Marconi 5k run.

Barra Best couldn’t have kept up with the rapidly changing weather conditions. The main topic of conversation at the start line was the necessity of anoraks, glasses and/or underwear, some opting for none of the above.

The wind was our friend on the out and back course but made the return journey challenging. No bother for Kelly-Ann McAuley, who made the podium in 3rd place and age category wins for Niamh and Marie Kerr.

The windy conditions didn’t stop Anya, Vicky, Clodagh and Angela from PB’ing. Great to see Johny McCormick make his debut for the club.

Fabulous to see the club so well represented and supporting our neighbours the Ballycastle Runners.
